The start of the 2026/2027 cruise season at Santos Port has been postponed by one week. The first commercial voyage, initially scheduled for October 23, has been moved to October 30, following a delay in the arrival of the ship Buenavista, operated by Spanish company Corazul Cruceros.
The vessel is scheduled to arrive on October 26, according to information released by regional media. The delay is related to adverse maritime conditions and delays in obtaining the administrative authorizations necessary for the voyage.
The change alters Corazul's debut schedule in the Brazilian market and requires a reorganization of activities planned for the ship's arrival at Santos's passenger terminal.
Company's debut in Brazil
The Buenavista will be the first Corazul Cruceros vessel to operate in the Brazilian market. The company intends to use Santos as one of its main embarkation points for itineraries along the national coast.
Before the first commercial voyage, the ship will remain berthed in Santos for vessel presentation activities. The announced schedule includes an event for guests on October 28.
The commercial debut is scheduled for October 30, with an initial itinerary to Rio de Janeiro and Búzios. The return to Santos is scheduled for November 2.
Season to feature ten ships
Despite the change in the opening schedule, the 2026/2027 season program foresees the operation of ten ships at Santos's passenger terminal, with calls through April 2027.
The estimate previously released by the sector projects approximately 900,000 passengers throughout the season, considering embarking, disembarking, and transit passengers. The updated schedule also includes changes to the number of calls compared to the initial program.
The start of the season is relevant for the regional tourism and logistics chain, involving embarkation and disembarkation operations, passenger transportation, vessel provisioning, and port support services.
