Azul has consolidated its presence in the international cargo market by expanding operations between Viracopos Airport in Campinas (SP) and Santiago. Starting this month, the route now features two weekly flights, in response to increased demand.
The operation is conducted by Azul Cargo, which reinforces the company's commitment to sustainable expansion of its international network.
2025 operation summary
Throughout 2025, 46 flights were operated with Airbus cargo aircraft on the route — 23 in the Brazil–Chile direction and 23 in the reverse route. During the period, the connection moved over 105 tons of cargo.
Of the total transported, 51.7 tons came from Chile to Brazil, while 53.4 tons went in the opposite direction. The flow demonstrates the complementarity between the two economies and the strategic relevance of the connection for bilateral trade.
Cargo profile
Among the main products shipped from Chile to Brazil are perishables such as salmon, cherries and peaches. In the Brazil–Chile direction, cargo linked to the European industry and the transport of pharmaceutical-grade milk powder stand out, which requires high-standard logistics control.
According to Izabel Reis, director of Azul Cargo, the route is one of the pillars of the company's international operation growth. With the expansion to two weekly frequencies, the company aims to offer greater capacity, predictability and competitiveness for clients that depend on efficiency and safety in cargo transport.
The initiative reinforces Azul's strategy to strengthen its presence in South America and expand logistics integration between regional and global markets.
