Brasil Terminal Portuário (BTP), one of the largest container terminals in Latin America and a reference in port operations at Santos Port, has been playing a strategic role in driving Brazilian agribusiness to the international market.

According to Dataliner data, BTP was responsible for 45% of all coffee container operations in Brazil in 2025 alone. Beyond its relevance on the national scene, the company also topped the ranking at the largest port in Latin America by representing 57% of all commodity operations at Santos Port. Both results, measured in TEUs (Twenty-foot Equivalent Units), the standard measurement in the container segment equivalent to a 20-foot container, demonstrate the solidity and efficiency of the container terminal.

BTP's Commercial Director, André Magalhães, highlights that the positive figures also reflect customer confidence in the work being carried out by BTP in pursuit of excellence in serving agribusiness. "A port terminal is part of a broad logistics chain that connects the Brazilian coffee sector to the world and for us at BTP, this is a major commitment. We work with a focus on offering the best solutions for each client need and with the conviction that every container we handle with efficiency and safety strengthens agribusiness and Brazil's port sector," he details.

The company is now preparing to continue contributing to Brazilian coffee in the coming years. BTP is moving forward with the implementation of a R$ 2 billion investment package, committed to the Federal Government, to increase the operational capacity of its container terminal. The package includes, in total, the acquisition of a new fleet of more sustainable equipment, new marine fenders for the quay, gate automation, and an extensive civil works plan for building readjustment and yard reinforcement. With the investments being made, the estimate is that BTP will expand its operational capacity from 1.5 million TEU per year to approximately 2.1 million TEUs per year.

About BTP: In operation since 2013, BTP – a private-use terminal (TUP) – has established itself as one of the largest container terminals in Latin America. Located at Santos Port, the company was responsible for remediation of one of the largest environmental liabilities in Brazil's port area.

With 1,108 meters of quay, prepared to receive three new panamax class vessels simultaneously, the terminal serves vessels with routes to all continents, also providing cabotage and feeder services. A joint venture between Terminal Investment Limited and APM Terminals, BTP has obtained international certifications OEA (Authorized Economic Operator), ISO 9001:2015 (Quality), ISO 14001:2015 (Environment) and ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health and Safety).
