Amid the intense movement of exhibition booths at Intermodal 2026, the sector's leading players announced new investments in infrastructure, sustainability and technology, consolidating a new cycle of logistics expansion in the country.

Directly from the corridors of Intermodal 2026, the atmosphere is one of expansion, business and new announcements for the Brazilian logistics sector.

Among strategic meetings, product launches and exclusive interviews, the fair has become a true stage for the presentation of billion-dollar investments that should directly impact the operational capacity of Brazilian ports in the coming years.

During coverage of the Integration 5.0, one of the highlights came from BTP's booth, where president Cláudio Oliveira detailed new investments aimed at expanding terminal efficiency.

According to him, the planned investment amounts to around US$ 180 million, encompassing the acquisition of 57 new RTGs, plus new STS equipment and structural modernization.

The proposal goes beyond operational gains.

The new equipment will replace part of the fleet powered by diesel with 100% electric models, aligning the terminal with the energy transition plan and carbon-zero target by 2030.

In practice, yard operations will see immediate capacity increases, with higher stacking of containers, enabling estimated growth of between 15% and 20% in this first phase.

"After layout adjustments and expansion of the operational area, capacity can grow up to 40%," the executive highlighted during the interview given at the event.

The announcement drew attention at the fair for representing a concrete movement toward modernizing port infrastructure in Santos.

Another moment of major repercussion occurred at Portonave's booth, where R$ 2 billion in investments were confirmed.

Of the total, R$ 1.5 billion will be allocated to structural works on berths, preparing the terminal to receive vessels up to 400 meters long, aligned with the new generation of international shipping.

Beyond civil works, the terminal will also receive new ship-to-shore cranes and 14 RTGs, expanding annual cargo-handling capacity.

The expectation presented during coverage is that the terminal will jump from around 1.5 million to nearly 2 million TEUs per year.

In the corridors of Intermodal, the announcement was interpreted as a strong signal of market confidence in the growth of Brazilian foreign trade.

Coverage also visited Movecta's booth, where the CEO presented the company's latest results.

The company surpassed the mark of R$ 850 million in revenue, accompanied by investments in cargo traceability, cold chain and new operational equipment.

One of the highlights was the advance in online temperature-monitoring technology for stored cargo, a solution that reduces damage and increases logistics predictability for clients.

The fair environment reinforced the perception that the sector is experiencing a moment of transformation.

More than numbers, the investments announced during Intermodal demonstrate a clear vision for the future: more capacity, greater efficiency, increased sustainability and strong use of embedded technology.

For Jornal Portuário, the movement observed within the event confirms that 2026 is consolidating as a strategic year for the growth of national logistics infrastructure.
