Guarujá opened 350 openings for the first cohort of a free port and logistics capacity-building course. Registration opened on Thursday (14) and runs through Friday (15), conducted at the Social Solidarity Fund (FSS), located at 549 Rua Cavalheiro Nami Jafet – Centro, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The training will begin next Wednesday (20), and will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Procópio Ferreira Theater (350 Avenida Dom Pedro I - Jardim Tejereba). The course will be short in duration and exclusive to Guarujá residents.
To participate, participants must be over 16 years old and have completed elementary school. At registration, applicants must bring a photo ID, proof of residence, and one liter of milk or oil, which will be donated to the Social Solidarity Fund.
In addition to the training on May 20, three further editions of the course are already scheduled for June 18, July 15, and August 19. Coordination is the responsibility of the Port and Airport Affairs Secretariat (Seport), Entrepreneurship, Microenterprise and Small Business Secretariat (Semep), and Guarujá FSS.
The initiative is part of the Motivar Program, in partnership with the JTLOG group and companies in the port and back-of-port segment, aiming to qualify residents for the labor market in the area.
According to the municipality's mayor, Farid Madi, this is just the beginning of preparing municipal residents for the expansion of the labor market in the port area in Guarujá. "This training is an opportunity to enhance the qualification of our residents and ensure greater job creation at the port, with fully prepared professionals," he said.
