Santos, May 4, 2026 – Brasil Terminal Portuário (BTP) has opened applications for the new class of BTP Com Elas, a free course on the port sector aimed at women. The initiative, which this year marks three years of existence, aims to contribute to the inclusion of women in the job market by promoting training and is part of the company's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Program.
This year, 30 places are being offered for the new BTP Com Elas class, and interested candidates can register until May 10 through the company's website (www.btp.com.br/btpcomelas). To apply, candidates must reside in the Baixada Santista region, be over 18 years old, have completed high school, and have availability to attend in-person classes in the coming months.
BTP's Human Resources Manager, Claudio Scalise, highlights that BTP Com Elas is a pioneering social initiative in the region and the port sector. "The great social legacy of BTP Com Elas is to genuinely contribute to the inclusion of women in the job market, especially in the Port of Santos, through learning and strengthening of the port-city relationship. Over 100 women from Baixada Santista have already graduated in the last two years in an example that shows us we are on the right track in promoting diversity and inclusion in the port sector," he details.
Course taught 100% by women – One of the differentials of BTP Com Elas is the learning opportunity with women who already work in the port sector. All classes of the initiative take place within BTP and are 100% taught on a voluntary basis by women who are employees of the container terminal.
During the classes, participants learn, through theoretical activities, dynamics and discussion circles, about topics such as: port operations, leadership, financial management, technology and innovation, psychological safety, sustainability, safety, communication, project management, self-awareness, among others. Participants also take a tour of the terminal's operations, which is located in the Alemoa neighborhood (in Santos) and is considered one of the largest container terminals in Latin America and a reference in port operations at the Port of Santos.
Talent Bank – Upon course completion, participants will have the opportunity to add their resume to the BTP Com Elas Talent Bank and make it available for consultation by all companies associated with the Santos Commercial Association (ACS). An opportunity that is only possible through a cooperation agreement signed between BTP and ACS in 2025, as Claudio Scalise explains. "With the cooperation agreement, a broad network of contacts was created that exponentially expands employment opportunities for women who graduate from BTP Com Elas," affirms BTP's HR Manager.
The cooperation agreement signed between the institutions comprises the creation and maintenance of a Talent Bank with resumes of women who graduated from the BTP Com Elas program so that companies in Baixada Santista, associated with ACS and also committed to the diversity and inclusion agenda, can search for and hire professionals who already have interest in working in the logistics and port sectors.
