The Young Talents BTP internship program, promoted by Brasil Terminal Portuário (BTP), is now accepting applications from students across various fields. Applications are open until June 28 and must be submitted through this website.
Benefits for approved participants include internship allowance, medical assistance, dental plan, wellhub, food vouchers or meal allowance, transportation vouchers, life insurance, and educational incentives such as free English courses and access to the Corporate University, an online platform featuring over 400 courses. Selected interns also receive mentorship from BTP professionals during their internship period, enabling them to develop and present an innovation and process improvement project to company leadership.
Candidates will participate in a selection process comprising curriculum analysis, online tests, interviews, and group dynamics. The requirements for participation in the program are:
- Be a university student with expected graduation between December 2027 and December 2028;
- Have availability to work in Santos;
- Be properly enrolled in courses in Administration, Accounting, Foreign Trade, Production Engineering, Control and Automation Engineering, Systems Analysis and Development, Psychology, Logistics, Economics, Financial Management, Port Management, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
Promoted by one of Latin America's largest container terminals and a reference in port operations at Santos Port, Young Talents BTP has been elected three times as one of the country's best internship programs by the Center for Business-School Integration (CIEE) and has contributed to the professional launch of over 200 students from the Baixada Santista region.
Approved candidates will be able to develop professionally alongside teams in Communication, Operational Planning, Billing, Accounting, Control, Operational Excellence, Commercial, and Maintenance departments. The new interns are scheduled to begin activities in the second half of 2026.
BTP's Administrative Director, Joel Contente, highlights the program's importance in strengthening Latin America's largest port. "While we are preparing our container terminal for the coming decades of operations at Santos Port, we are also seeking to develop the professionals of the future. Young Talents is the ideal starting point for new generations to discover the diverse career possibilities that exist in this increasingly modern, efficient, technological, innovative, and sustainable port sector," he states.
Rafael dos Santos Antunes, a Production Engineering student and intern in BTP's Operational Excellence area, states that the program's highlight is the encouragement given to interns to participate in projects. "BTP provides us with various development tools with an eye toward a future career. And, working in a continuous improvement area, I am also able to be involved in various projects and implement improvements together with all departments, using methodologies to facilitate and enhance existing processes and create innovative solutions," he concludes.
For Sophia Louzada Gonçalves, a student who participated in Young Talents in 2025 and currently works as an assistant in the company's financial department, the internship was a time of significant learning. "Through Young Talents BTP I was able to apply the knowledge acquired in college to my daily work and bring practical work experiences to college, both in technical and personal knowledge. It was definitely worthwhile to participate," she reveals.
