Santos Port will receive, this Thursday (19), at 2:30 p.m., a visit from the Minister of Ports and Airports, Silvio Costa Filho, for a ceremony considered strategic for the future of the region's port infrastructure.
The event, organized by Santos Port Authority (APS), will be held at Almirante Gago Coutinho Square and is expected to bring together authorities, sector representatives and local leaders.
Among the main highlights of the agenda is the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Federal Police headquarters in Santos, a project aimed at strengthening institutional presence and security in port operations.
Another awaited point is the presentation of proof of funding for the Santos-Guarujá tunnel, a work considered fundamental for urban mobility and logistics between the two cities, and which has been debated for years as a priority for production export flow.
The ceremony also includes announcements aimed at expanding logistics infrastructure, including the second phase of the Left Bank Perimeter and the signing for the construction of two new berthing facilities in the Alemoa region, expanding the port's operational capacity.
The expectation is that the announcements consolidate new investments and reinforce Santos Port's role as the country's leading logistics hub.
