The president of APS, Anderson Pomini, assessed as positive the TCU decision that required ANTAQ to review restrictive acts related to a transitional contract in the port sector.
According to Pomini, the measure strengthens regulatory stability, broadens legal certainty and contributes to the predictability necessary for investments in logistics and port infrastructure.
In the decision, the TCU determined that ANTAQ shall carry out, within 15 days, the rectification of previously issued acts that limited the lessee's operations. With this, the company will be able to operate fully within the conditions originally established in the transitional contract signed with the port authority.
For the APS president, the Court of Accounts' understanding reinforces the importance of respect for contracts and the maintenance of a balanced regulatory environment for operators and investors.
The matter had been closely monitored by the port sector due to the operational and economic impacts that any restrictions could generate on the logistics activities of the Santos complex.
The decision is also interpreted by the market as a sign of greater institutional predictability for future port infrastructure contracts and projects in Brazil.
Behind the scenes in the sector, agents assess that the TCU's positioning could influence future regulatory discussions involving transitional contracts, renewals and temporary operations at organized ports.
