The new space will operate in a revitalized historic port warehouse with approximately 1,800 square meters, located near Santos' Historic Center. The project preserved the original characteristics of the structure, integrating historical heritage with technological innovation.

According to APS, the Innovation Hub was created to house startups, research projects, technology laboratories and initiatives focused on sustainable development of the port sector. The space will feature an auditorium, mini convention center, coworking area, technology museum and interactive resources that will allow visitors an immersive experience in the port universe.

Among the project's highlights are augmented reality tools, virtual port tours and climate and ocean observatories, aimed at monitoring sustainability, meteorology and oceanography.

The Hub will also have spaces for partner institutions, such as universities, social organizations and research centers, strengthening integration between education, science, technology and port operations.

Another distinctive feature will be the creation of a support point for guided port canal visits, allowing organized access for visitors and increasing community engagement with Latin America's largest port complex.

During the event, an agreement was signed between the Santos Port Authority and the Presbyterian University Mackenzie Institute, responsible for managing the Innovation Hub. The investment foreseen in the partnership is R$ 7.5 million.

The recovery of Warehouse 7 occurred through a Conduct Adjustment Term (TAC) signed with the Public Ministry of São Paulo as a counterpart to the implementation of the new grain terminal by Chinese company COFCO International at the Port of Santos.

During the inauguration, Anderson Pomini highlighted that the Hub represents a new moment for the Port of Santos, connecting innovation, sustainability and economic development. Meanwhile, Minister Tomé Franca emphasized the importance of bringing Brazilian ports closer to new technologies and digital transformation to expand national logistics competitiveness.
