The Ceará Export Processing Zone Administrative Company (ZPE Ceará) officially announced on Friday (24) the inauguration of lawyer Rafael Sá as the institution's new president. The ceremony was held at the company's administrative headquarters in São Gonçalo do Amarante, a strategic municipality for the state's industrial and port development.

Sá takes office replacing Fábio Feijó, who headed ZPE Ceará since June 2024 and was appointed to the position of secretary of Economic Development of Ceará, a move that reinforces the coordination between the export zone's management and state economic policy.

With a solid background in the legal sector, Rafael Sá holds a postgraduate degree in Labor Law and Procedure and has been practicing law since 2006. Throughout his career, he has accumulated experience in legal advisory services for large corporations and multinational companies, working in various segments of the economy.

In the public sector, the new president also brings administrative experience. Among the positions previously held, notable are the roles of secretary of Planning and secretary of Administration of the municipality of Aquiraz. Since 2021, he has served on the Board of Directors of the Regulatory Agency of the State of Ceará (Arce), reinforcing his work on matters related to public management and regulation.

In 2023, Rafael Sá received the Boticário Ferreira Medal, an honor granted by the Municipal Chamber of Fortaleza in recognition of services rendered to the public sector.

The arrival of the new president comes at a strategic moment for ZPE Ceará, considered one of the main poles for attracting industrial investments, exports and job generation in the state, especially through its connection with the Pecém Industrial and Port Complex.

Market expectations are that the new management will maintain the pace of expansion and strengthening of operations geared toward foreign trade, increasing Ceará's competitiveness in the national and international logistics landscape.
