Maringá Airport (PR) now offers DTA (Customs Transit Declaration) services from Gollog, expanding logistics options for import and export operations in the region. With this development, international cargo can be unloaded at Guarulhos International Airport (SP) and transported by air to Maringá's Air Cargo Terminal (Teca), where customs clearance will be handled by the Brazilian Federal Revenue. The service will also allow cargo shipments departing from Maringá.
The operation represents a milestone for the resumption of consistent international logistics in the municipality. Now, cargo can travel to or from Guarulhos, where Gol operates cargo flights in São Paulo, "in the belly" of aircraft, ensuring greater speed, reduced costs, and competitiveness for companies in Maringá and the region.
Maringá Airport's CEO, Gustavo Vieira, notes that the operation positions the municipality among Paraná's first airports to establish this type of logistics partnership with Gol.
"It is a victory for us and for the business sector in the region. This operation strengthens Teca and broadens the possibilities for importers and exporters, who now will have a more efficient and accessible solution. Any interested entrepreneur will have access to this service through Gollog at the municipality's Teca," he states.
BHZ Log executive Leonardo Coli says that implementing the service is the result of coordination built over approximately one year between BHZ, Teca, and Gol.
"It was a lot of negotiation and joint effort. Previously, cargo arrived in Brazil and had to be transported by truck to Maringá. Now, it remains international under the DTA regime, leaves Guarulhos, and comes directly by air to Teca for customs clearance. We have the airport here, so we want cargo to arrive here. And we succeeded, thanks to a joint effort," he explains.
Coli emphasizes that the new model cuts logistics costs and should drive new operations in the city. "This means time savings, security, and competitiveness for entrepreneurs in Maringá and the region. It is an important change for local foreign trade," he highlights.
The operation uses the air network between Guarulhos and Maringá, with flights occurring on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The route from Maringá to Guarulhos runs on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
Gustavo Vieira recalls that the start of operations became viable after Teca completed the process of resolving regulatory compliance issues with the Brazilian Federal Revenue and the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) in December of last year, when the Airport received its first international cargo after a ten-year hiatus.
"This is the result of intensive work, with financial and technical investment in structural, operational, and documentary improvements. At the beginning of 2025, there were more than 60 pending items with Anvisa alone," Vieira states.
For him, Gol's arrival at this moment represents the beginning of a new phase for the Airport. "It is the first step toward the return of an international freighter to Maringá. We are prepared and committed to this goal. The Airport will continue supporting initiatives that bring investment, competitiveness, and new business to the city," he comments. "The expectation is that the new operation will strengthen regional foreign trade and attract new companies and airlines interested in operating at Maringá's international cargo terminal," he adds.
