SANTOS (SP) – Financing of infrastructure projects was one of the central themes in Alan Fernandes' participation at ENIP 2026.

Representing Haitong Bank, the executive presented a financial market perspective on existing opportunities in the Brazilian logistics sector.

According to Fernandes, Brazil holds a robust portfolio of projects capable of attracting national and international investors. However, factors such as regulatory predictability, legal certainty and technical quality of projects remain fundamental to increase private capital participation.

The executive stressed that investments needed to modernize national infrastructure exceed the capacity of public financing alone, making financial market participation indispensable.

Concessions, public-private partnerships and issuance of infrastructure-focused bonds were pointed out as essential mechanisms to accelerate strategic works.

Fernandes also highlighted the growing interest of foreign investors in the Brazilian port, rail and energy sectors.

The assessment is that the country possesses characteristics that place it in a privileged position to receive long-term investments.
