APM Terminals was present at Intermodal South America 2026, one of Latin America's largest logistics, transport and foreign trade events, reinforcing its leading role in the Brazilian port sector.
During the fair, the company presented to the market advances in its strategic projects, highlighting the new terminal in Suape, Pernambuco, considered one of the country's most modern facilities. The project, which received investments of R$ 2.1 billion, will be Latin America's first 100% electrified container terminal, with operations expected to begin in the second half of 2026.
In an interview with Programa Integração 5.0, chief executive Daniel Rose emphasized that participation in Intermodal represents a strategic showcase for the company to expand connections with shipowners, clients and logistics partners.
According to Rose, this is a moment of structural transformation in the sector, driven by technology, sustainability and increased operational efficiency. He stressed that the new Suape terminal is aligned with global demands for decarbonization and port automation.
"We are building a new operational standard for the Brazilian logistics sector, with a focus on innovation, sustainability and greater competitiveness for foreign trade," the executive said during the interview.
Beyond the Suape project, the company also presented results from the Pecém terminal in Ceará, which closed 2025 with a historic movement record, surpassing 706 thousand TEUs, consolidating itself as one of the Northeast's leading logistics hubs.
APM Terminals' participation in Intermodal reinforces market confidence in the expansion of Brazilian port infrastructure and the growth potential of operations in the North and Northeast regions of the country.
