In an interview granted to Jornal Portuário, today on the Programa Integração 5.0, CEO Daniel Rose confirmed one of the most relevant announcements at Intermodal 2026: the completion of the first phase of the new terminal at Suape Port.
The facility will be the first fully electrified terminal in Latin America, consolidating a new milestone for sustainable port infrastructure in the continent.
The first phase received an investment of R$ 2.1 billion, with full operation expected by August of this year.
According to management, the new structure will increase the terminal's operational capacity by 55%, reaching 400,000 TEUs in this initial phase.
Phase two is already underway and is expected to raise capacity to 600,000 TEUs by 2028, with future projection of reaching 1 million TEUs.
Beyond the logistical impact, the project is expected to generate hundreds of direct and indirect jobs, strengthening the regional economy and positioning the Northeast as a new strategic hub for national logistics.
