The Federal Police (PF) and Brazilian Federal Revenue (RFB) seized 9.6 kg of cocaine at the Port of Santos on Friday last (3rd). The drug was hidden in a shipment of tomato sauce that was to be sent to Australia.

The material was located by Brazilian Federal Revenue teams during an inspection, while the cargo was awaiting placement in a container for shipment.

Following the discovery, the PF conducted an expert examination on site. Subsequently, all the drug was collected and sent to the corporation's headquarters. The Federal Police Precinct in Santos has already opened an inquiry to investigate the circumstances of the crime and identify those responsible for the international trafficking.

As of now, no one has been arrested.
