Brazilian Federal Revenue seized 22 tons of counterfeit shirts last Wednesday (October 4) in a container at Santos Port. The shipment contained approximately 120,000 pirated uniforms from Brazilian national teams and clubs.

According to the agency, inspectors also identified two tons of suitcases at the container entrance, in an attempt to conceal the products. This case drew the institution's attention for presenting a different method compared to other cases recorded in the last three months, in which the irregular items were mixed with different types of merchandise.

The products found were replicas of uniforms from national teams participating in the 2026 World Cup, such as Brazil, Canada, Portugal, Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Spain, Germany, and Japan. Products from the Italian national team, which did not qualify for the tournament, were also found.

Additionally, shirts from Brazilian clubs were seized, including Santos, Botafogo, Portuguesa, Flamengo, and Atlético-MG.

Brazilian Federal Revenue also reported that in recent months, 15 other containers were held at Santos Port, totaling 75 tons of counterfeit merchandise. According to the agency, approximately 428,000 sports shirts are among the seized products.
