Fernanda Meireles, engineering manager at Ecovias, participated in the Portocast of Integração 5.0 and presented the main infrastructure projects underway in the Anchieta-Imigrantes System.
Among the highlighted works are geometric interventions on curves of Rodovia Anchieta to improve circulation of heavy trucks and enhance road safety. According to the concessionaire, the interventions include earthwork, paving and structural adjustments executed mainly during nighttime hours to minimize traffic impacts.
Another highlight is the implementation of the Free Flow system, an electronic toll technology without toll booths that promises to increase traffic flow, reducing queues and congestion at the entrances to Baixada Santista.
Ecovias also presented projects focused on the Alemoa exit, a strategic region for Santos Port. The project foresees new road connections and additional lanes to improve logistics flow and reduce operational bottlenecks.
Beyond structural works, the concessionaire announced new investments in road safety, including operational bases, escape ramps and monitoring systems for fog periods in the mountain section.
According to Fernanda Meireles, the improvements are part of continuous planning to keep pace with the growth of cargo movement at Santos Port and ensure greater logistics efficiency for Brazilian foreign trade.
