The Port of Santos Museum opens, starting July 17, the exhibition Art at the Port, a project that brings together urban, contemporary and authorial art to honor one of the greatest symbols of Brazilian history and economy: the Port of Santos.
Presented by the Rouanet Law and T-Grão Cargo, with production by the Ministry of Culture, the project transforms the museum into a meeting space between culture, identity and heritage, bringing the public closer to the port universe through artistic expression.
The exhibition brings together 10 artists from the Baixada Santista region, each bringing their own interpretation of the Port. Ten different perspectives that reveal, in unprecedented works, the strength, history, daily life and importance of Latin America's largest port.
More than a collective exhibition, Art at the Port seeks to value the artists of the region and stimulate new ways of seeing the Port of Santos, not only as a logistics and economic center, but also as a cultural heritage that is part of the city's identity and that of thousands of people.
The opening takes place on July 17, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the Port of Santos Museum, bringing together artists, guests, representatives from the port sector, supporters and the public to celebrate the opening of the exhibition.
The exhibition will remain open for visits at the Port of Santos Museum, providing visitors with the opportunity to experience different artistic languages inspired by the same territory.
