The Ministry of Finance announced, on Wednesday (21), measures to ensure the application of tax immunity in imports destined for public research. The initiative covers projects from public universities, federal institutes and public institutions of science, technology and innovation.
With the change, equipment, computer programs and scientific inputs imported by support foundations on behalf of these institutions now count on the protection of reciprocal tax immunity, as provided for in the Federal Constitution.
