Two more locomotives from Chilean Arauco were photographed in operation in Chapadão do Sul (MS), coupled to wagons loaded with grain. The images drew attention among railway and logistics enthusiasts due to the excellent condition of the machines, which display impeccable paint and appear fresh from the factory.

The photographs were taken in the region of Ferronorte Terminal and underscore mounting activity linked to the advancement of the Sucuriú Project, a venture being built in Inocência (MS) that will be the world's largest single-line pulp mill. The industrial complex is located approximately 220 kilometers from Chapadão do Sul.

Last week, two other locomotives from the company had also been photographed by internet user Áquila, extending the sequence of sightings of the company's new machines in Mato Grosso do Sul territory. Among the models spotted are units such as locomotives 8483, 8481 and 8461.

Arauco is receiving a fleet of 26 new Wabtec ES44ACi model locomotives, considered modern and geared toward operational efficiency, fuel economy and sustainability in railway transport of pulp and industrial cargo.

The railway investment tracks the accelerated growth of the Sucuriú Project, which has been consolidating Mato Grosso do Sul as one of Brazil's leading poles of forest, industrial and logistics development. Sector expectations are that operations will generate strong economic impact, increased railway movement and expanded international presence of the State in the pulp market.

With new locomotives circulating through different cities in MS, the project is also beginning to become a symbol of the new phase of logistics and industrial modernization in the Center-West region.
