Event opens with record participation and reinforces the Amazonian capital as Latin America's leading inland waterway logistics hub, consolidating its strategic relevance in the sector in 2026

Manaus has a historic start to NN Logística 2026. Already on the first day, Latin America's largest inland waterway industry trade fair exceeded expectations and confirmed the Amazonian capital's prominence as a strategic center for the country's logistics decision-making. Held at the Vasco Vasques Convention Center, the event brings together more than seven thousand visitors, one hundred exhibitors and around 400 national and international brands, establishing itself as a true business hub, innovation and institutional articulation for the sector.

The intense activity surprised even the organizers. According to the fair's creator, David Semeguini, the public arrived earlier than expected.

"In fact, it really exceeded our expectations, because we imagined heavier traffic from late afternoon on. And we were surprised to see the fair already packed, with more and more people arriving. This volume of visitors touring the booths shows the strength of the event," he emphasized.

The organizer also stressed the diversity of the public and companies present.

"We have one hundred exhibitors and more than four hundred brands, with national and international participation. It's a very comprehensive event, bringing together everything from paint companies, shipyards and engine makers to logistics and shipping. The entire inland waterway logistics ecosystem is here," he highlighted.

Business and innovation environment

The first day also demonstrated the fair's potential as a business generator. For Constantino Lannes, CEO of Sennebogen, the activity already indicates concrete results.

"We are very satisfied. Last year we already closed and aligned deals, and this year the activity is even better. From day one we see strong presence of business owners and industry, with direct interest in our products, especially in grain handling in the North. We brought high-tech equipment, but simple to maintain, ideal for a remote region like the Amazon, operating in the transshipment of grains and fertilizers," he said.

Sector growth and investments in the Northern Arc

The expansion of inland waterway logistics in the region was also a recurring theme among participants. Daniel Andrade, inland waterway segment manager at Sotreq, highlighted the event's and market's evolution.

"The fair has grown every year, with a more qualified public. It's an opportunity to reconnect with clients, strengthen relationships and advance sector discussions. The Northern Arc continues to expand, and we follow that with presence in Manaus, Belém, Porto Velho and Itaituba. We also present solutions like equipment monitoring, which improves management and adds value to operations," he said, while also emphasizing the company's strategic positioning.

Essential logistics and energy security

The importance of inland waterway logistics for regional supply was also reinforced by Cássio Lopes Guimarães, Operations Manager of Cabotage Ships at Transpetro.

"We have a strategic responsibility in fuel transport. Today, we count on a robust infrastructure, including ships operating in the Amazon, fundamental for local supply. In 2024, even with severe drought, we managed to maintain supply, delivering more than 16 thousand tons of LPG in partnership with the Brazilian Navy and Petrobras. This shows the strength of integrated action," he said.

Institutional role and regional development

The Brazilian Navy also highlighted its role in developing navigation and regional economy. Rear Admiral Sérgio Tadeu, Chief of Staff of the 9th Naval District Command, emphasized the importance of the event.

"More than a logistics meeting, this is a space for building solutions. The Navy does not act only as a regulator, but as a partner in regional development. Navigation is essential for the region, and events like this strengthen dialogue on topics such as cabotage, transport and shipbuilding," he said.

Resilience and Amazonian prominence

Representing one of the event's main players, Marcello Di Gregorio from Super Terminais highlighted the region's historic role.

"The North is resilient. That's the word that defines the Amazon. It's a region that reinvents itself and grows, even facing challenges. These dialogues are fundamental, especially in the inland waterway context. Rivers are an essential part of our reality and our development," he said.

Navigable Dialogues Schedule

Within the schedule, the "Navigable Dialogues" forum is already consolidating itself as one of the country's main spaces for technical and institutional debate, addressing topics such as public policy, sustainability, fleet modernization and climate impacts.

On the event's second day, the schedule continues with strategic panels:

2:30 p.m. – Development of inland navigation public policy, moderated by Adalberto Tokarski
3 p.m. – Climate crisis and adaptations in inland waterway navigation, with participation by Renildo Barros (ANTAQ)
4:30 p.m. – Modern Manaus: design, execution and projections, moderated by Dodó Carvalho

NN Logística reinforces the Northern region's leading role in the international logistics landscape. With a strong presence of multinationals, robust investments and strategic discussions, the event demonstrates from day one that the Amazon is not merely part of Brazil's logistics, but a central piece in the future of sustainable and competitive transport in the country.
