Marquise Infraestrutura has been selected to execute the works on Pier Zero, a structure that will be part of Eneva's new Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Regasification Terminal at the Pecém Industrial and Port Complex. The company won the competitive bidding based on technical merit and price criteria and will be responsible for one of the most important energy infrastructure works currently under development in the Northeast.

The project encompasses the deployment of port and operational structures linked to the regasification terminal, considered strategic for expanding the region's energy supply and security. The works have an estimated timeline of 22 months and will require a high level of technical and logistical expertise.

The new terminal is part of the current expansion cycle of Porto do Pecém, which brings together simultaneous investments in port, rail, industrial and energy infrastructure. The expectation is that the enterprise will strengthen the position of the Ceará complex as one of the country's leading logistics and energy hubs.

Beyond infrastructure impacts, the work is expected to mobilize various segments of the regional supply chain. The forecast is for an average hiring of approximately 500 workers during the execution period, generating employment and income opportunities for the local population.

Marquise Infraestrutura has a track record of participation in major projects at the Pecém Complex. Completed works include the second access bridge to the port and phases 1 and 2 of the Multi-Purpose Terminal (TMUT). Currently, the company is also active in strategic sections of the Transnordestina Railway.

According to Renan Carvalho, chief executive officer of Marquise Infraestrutura, the achievement reinforces the company's historical relationship with the Ceará port complex.

"Porto do Pecém is part of Marquise Infrastructure's trajectory and DNA. We have participated in the expansion of this logistics complex over the years and have accumulated deep technical and operational knowledge of the region. Winning a competition of this magnitude represents not only the recognition of our engineering capacity, but also the satisfaction of directly contributing to the strategic development of Ceará and the country," said the executive.

With the implementation of Pier Zero and the regasification terminal, the Pecém Complex expands its relevance in the national energy matrix, strengthening its capacity to meet growing demand for natural gas and consolidating its position as an engine of economic development for the Northeast.
