Cargo handling at the Port of São Francisco do Sul totaled 1.5 million tonnes in April, an increase of 1.5% compared to the same month in 2025 (1.48 million tonnes).
The highlight of the period was soybean exports to China, which reached 789 thousand tonnes. The volume represents growth of 44% compared to April of last year, when 548 thousand tonnes of the grain were shipped.

Exports totaled 843 thousand tonnes, corresponding to 56% of the total cargo handled in the month.
Cargo received by Santa Catarina's largest port reached 655 thousand tonnes, equivalent to 44% of monthly cargo handling. Steel products led among unloaded products, with 416 thousand tonnes, followed by fertilizers, with 216 thousand tonnes.
According to the Port's president, Cleverton Vieira, the growth in soybean handling reflects the logistical coordination and operational capacity of São Francisco during the harvest export period.
"The alignment of operations and team planning have made it possible to meet the increase in demand with regularity, maintaining cargo flow and efficiency in serving users," says Vieira.
