The president of the Stevedores' Union of Santos, Bruno Santos, participated in the II National Labor Conference, held between March 3 and 5, 2026, at the Anhembi Convention Center, in the city of São Paulo. The event brought together representatives of workers, employers and the federal government to debate public policies aimed at strengthening labor relations and promoting decent work in Brazil.

During the conference schedule, Bruno Santos had the opportunity to speak briefly with the president of the Republic, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, who participated in the opening plenary session of the conference.

From an institutional perspective, the union leader highlighted an important demand from the port sector: the need for greater federal government attention to Bill 733, a matter considered strategic by port workers.

According to the leader, the presence of union representatives from across the country at the event underscores the importance of direct dialogue with authorities and the collective building of proposals for the future of work in Brazil.

The II National Labor Conference is part of a debate process initiated in 2025 in the state-level stages and aims to consolidate guidelines for public policies focused on employment, labor enhancement and strengthening of social dialogue among workers, employers and government.
