Suzano, the world's largest cellulose producer and a global reference in the manufacture of bioproducts developed from eucalyptus, announces its balance sheet for the second quarter of 2026 (2Q26), with increases in prices and improvements in adjusted EBITDA, sales volume and operational cash generation compared to the previous quarter. The quarter's results reflect the competitiveness and resilience of Suzano's operations in a period marked by exchange rate pressures and rising input costs, influenced by higher oil prices, which affect the entire sector.
Suzano's sales moved 3.3 million tons in the quarter, with 2.9 million tons of cellulose and 406 thousand tons of papers for packaging, graphic, specialty and sanitary applications. Net revenue totaled R$ 11.6 billion and adjusted EBITDA reached R$ 4.7 billion, both higher than the previous quarter. Operational cash generation reached R$ 2.9 billion and net profit totaled R$ 1.8 billion in the quarter.
Despite cost pressures, the cash production cost of cellulose, excluding shutdowns, totaled R$ 843 per ton, practically at the same level as the second quarter of 2025. The company also maintains hedging policies to mitigate volatility in Brent prices.
The company's financial leverage, measured by the ratio of net debt to adjusted EBITDA, ended the quarter at 3.4 times in dollars. Suzano remains focused on reducing debt, supported by cash generation from its operations, improved efficiency and its discipline in capital allocation.
"We delivered a solid second quarter in a volatile market scenario. We remain focused on operational efficiency and reducing our debt levels, which will strengthen our resilience and the company's competitiveness. At the same time, we maintain our focus on capturing value from investments already made, generating sustainable value for our stakeholders," says Suzano's president, Beto Abreu.
After the end of the quarter, Suzano completed the acquisition of a 51% stake in Arbex, a global tissue company formed with Kimberly-Clark, with a payment of US$ 1.3 billion. Arbex began operations on July 1, 2026 and is responsible for the production, marketing actions and commercialization of tissue products for consumer and professional use in more than 70 countries. The company brings together 22 mills located in 14 markets. Arbex's results will be consolidated in Suzano's financial statements starting in the third quarter of 2026.
