The Luiz Antônio Mesquita Integrator Terminal (Tiplam), operated by VLI Logística, recorded its highest throughput in history in 2025, with 14.3 million useful tons (MTU). The volume represents growth of 6% compared to the previous year and reinforces the terminal's importance in the national logistics chain.

Located in Baixada Santista, Tiplam is part of the company's Southeast Corridor, connecting the Center-West to the state of São Paulo via the Centro-Atlântica Railway (FCA). The terminal plays a strategic role in the shipment of commodities such as corn, soybeans, bran and sugar, as well as in the import of fertilizers.

According to the company, the predominance of rail transport to the terminal contributes significantly to the sustainability of operations. Rail transport emits approximately 15% of the CO2 per ton transported compared to road transport, in addition to reducing truck traffic in the port region. Each rail car carries the equivalent load of three trucks, alleviating traffic around the Port of Santos.

The record performance was also driven by investments made in the first half of 2025. Among the improvements, dredging of the terminal stands out, which raised the operational draft from 13.35 meters to 14.10 meters, increasing the cargo capacity of vessels by approximately 10%.

This operational advance was decisive in enabling the terminal to reach, in August, the highest shipment volume in its history, with 83 thousand tons of sugar destined for the Middle East.

Another highlight occurred in September, when Tiplam recorded its largest monthly discharge of fertilizers, with 285 thousand tons from North America, the Middle East and China. The cargo was destined primarily to agricultural producers in the states of Goiás, Minas Gerais and Mato Grosso.

For VLI, the results reflect a combination of infrastructure investments, operational efficiency and logistics integration, consolidating Tiplam as one of the country's leading bulk handling hubs.
