A public consultation on the access channel concession project for Santos Port (SP) is open until May 2. The initiative aims to broaden dialogue with the sectors involved and society, as well as gather contributions that help improve the technical and legal documents that make up the project.

Interested parties may submit suggestions through an electronic form available on the website of the National Waterway Transport Agency (Antaq), where the draft documents and other materials related to the proposal are also accessible, serving as the basis for analysis and contributions.

Supplementary files, such as maps, blueprints and images, may be sent to the email anexo_audiencia022026@antaq.gov.br. Text contributions should be entered directly in the form, with proper identification of the participant, within the established deadline.

For those without access to digital means, it will be possible to submit contributions in person, using computers at Antaq's General Secretariat in Brasília (DF), or at regional units, whose addresses are available on the Agency's institutional website.

Access channel

The concession project for the access channel to the Organized Port of Santos provides for partial transfer of activities currently administered by the Santos Port Authority (APS), with a focus on management and operation of the waterway access channel for a period of 25 years.

With estimated investments of R$ 688 million, the future concessionaire will be responsible for operation, maintenance and modernization of the port access infrastructure. Among the main obligations are channel deepening dredging, with targets of reaching 16 meters within three years and 17 meters within six years, in addition to performing continuous maintenance dredging, nautical signaling modernization, implementation of the VTMIS system and environmental management of the project.
