The National Agency for Waterborne Transport (Antaq) will open, starting next Tuesday (17th), a public consultation and hearing to receive contributions from society and the port sector on the access channel concession process for Santos Port. The deadline for submission of suggestions is 11:59 p.m. on May 2nd.
According to the regulatory agency, the initiative aims to improve the technical and legal documents that will underpin the future concession bidding for the channel. The proposal also seeks to broaden the debate with operators, specialists, authorities and other interested parties on the matter.
According to Antaq, contributions should be directly related to the draft documents made available during the public consultation period. The material will serve as the basis for the public hearing to be held later to deepen discussion on the project.

Submissions should be sent exclusively through an electronic form available on the agency's website. The agency also informed that supplementary digital files, such as maps, blueprints and photographs, may be sent via email anexo_audiencia022026@antaq.gov.br.
The access channel concession process is considered strategic for the future of Santos Port, Latin America's leading port complex. The initiative is part of discussions on new management models and infrastructure investments, with a focus on expanding operational capacity, improving logistics efficiency and attracting private investment.
The expectation is that contributions received during the public consultation period will help refine the concession model and bring greater legal and technical security to the bidding process.
