The Ministry of Ports and Airports (MPor) holds the auction of the Galeão International Airport (RJ) this Monday (30th) at B3's headquarters in São Paulo. The opening bid to acquire the terminal's operation will be no less than R$ 932 million and must be paid in full upfront. Minister Silvio Costa Filho participates in the event.
The winning company must commit to paying the Union an annual variable contribution corresponding to 20% of the concession's gross revenue through 2039. Additionally, it will be the sole controller of the terminal, as the agreement with the Court of Accounts of the Union (TCU) provides for the end of Infraero's shareholding participation.
The assisted sale auction of Galeão Airport results from a consensual solution approved by the TCU, through the External Control Secretariat for Consensual Solutions and Conflict Prevention (Secex Consenso). The approved agreement promoted the economic and financial rebalancing of the concession and incorporated clauses aligned with the sector's most recent contracts.
