The Ministry of Ports and Airports (MPor) holds on Monday (30th) the auction of Galeão International Airport (RJ), at the B3 headquarters in São Paulo. The opening bid to acquire operation of the terminal will be a minimum of R$ 932 million and must be paid in full upfront. Minister Silvio Costa Filho participates in the event.

The winning company of the auction shall assume the commitment to pay the Federal Government an annual variable contribution corresponding to 20% of the airport's gross revenue through 2039. Moreover, it will be the sole controller of the terminal, as the agreement with the Court of Accounts of the Union (TCU) provides for the end of Infraero's shareholding participation.

The assisted sale auction of Galeão Airport is the result of a consensual solution approved by the TCU, through the External Control Secretariat for Consensual Solution and Conflict Prevention (Secex Consenso). The approved agreement promoted the economic and financial rebalancing of the concession and incorporated clauses aligned with the most recent sector contracts.

Media Attendance

Media professionals may follow the auction online, via B3 TV, or in person, with prior accreditation through the email imprensa@b3.com.br. At the end of the ceremony, Minister Silvio Costa Filho will speak with journalists present.
