Santos Port is experiencing one of the largest investment cycles in its history. During an interview with the Integração 5.0 program, the president of Santos Port Authority, Anderson Pomini, presented the progress of the main infrastructure projects that are expected to prepare the port complex for the coming decades.

Among the initiatives are the construction of the Santos-Guarujá Tunnel, the second phase of Guarujá's Perimeter Avenue, the deepening of the navigation channel, the concession of the Itatinga Power Plant, and investments focused on the energy transition.

According to Pomini, deepening the channel will allow the world's largest container ships to operate at greater cargo capacity, regardless of tidal conditions, increasing logistics efficiency and the international attractiveness of Santos Port.

Another highlight is the concession of the Itatinga Power Plant. The project provides for investments close to R$ 500 million to expand energy generation capacity, develop renewable sources such as green hydrogen, and revitalize the historic English village complex, also strengthening regional tourism.

In the environmental area, the Port Authority reaffirmed its commitment to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2040, through actions such as wharf electrification, incentives for ships with green certification, and new clean energy projects.
