Port of Itajaí (SC) received, this Monday (18th), a new call from the ship Dover Highway, with 739 vehicles destined for the terminal. The port authority reported that the vessel berthed at 00:30, and the unloading operation began at 7 a.m., reinforcing port movement and the diversification of operations carried out at the organized port.

The administration highlighted that the operation took place with the access channel fully navigable, ensuring safety to navigation, operational regularity and predictability to port activities.

With the call this Monday, Port of Itajaí tallies, in 2026, five operations of roll-on/roll-off type ships, totaling 2,928 vehicles moved. The year's history includes calls from Victoria Highway, with 628 vehicles; Dover Highway, with 457 vehicles; Good Wood, with 430 units; Victoria Highway, with 674 vehicles; and, now, Dover Highway, with 739 vehicles.

The movement reinforces the resumption of this type of operation at Port of Itajaí and demonstrates market confidence in the terminal, which has been expanding its cargo portfolio and consolidating itself as an efficient and strategic logistics alternative in the national scenario. For the superintendent of Port of Itajaí, Artur Antunes Pereira, the new call confirms the progress of the organized port's operational recovery.

"The resumption of activities, with a navigable channel, regularity and efficiency, has restored to the terminal the competitiveness needed to attract new cargo and expand opportunities. It is a result that strengthens the organized port, drives the economy and reaffirms Itajaí's strategic importance in the national logistics scenario," Pereira stressed.
