Santos Port Authority (APS), responsible for administering Santos Port, has announced the start of re-registration of all persons authorized to access its facilities. The measure is part of the process of implementing a biometric recognition system for access control at the port complex.
According to the entity, all workers credentialed for wharf access must appear for cadastral update, which includes photograph registration and biometric collection.
Update will be conducted by Port Security.
According to APS, there is no defined deadline for the completion of the process. The update of registrations will be the responsibility of Port Security and will begin with workers linked to the Labor Management Agency (Ogmo).
Other users of the complex will be called gradually, with the aim of avoiding queues and crowding.
Assistance during business hours.
Re-registration is being conducted at the Port Security Credentialing Sector, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, except on holidays.
With the adoption of biometric recognition, the port authority seeks to strengthen the security of operations and modernize access control mechanisms at the country's largest port complex.
