Officers from the 1st General Investigation Division (DIG), part of Santos' Specialized Division of Criminal Investigations (Deic), dismantled a million-dollar scheme that adulterated soybean shipments destined for export at Santos Port on Tuesday (17th). The agents acted simultaneously in the cities of Guarujá, Praia Grande and Avaré.
According to the officers, the group operated with the support of port employees and certified analysts who forged laboratory reports to allow grains mixed with impurities and residues to be marketed as products suitable for export.
At the investigated locations, officers seized state-of-the-art mobile phones, port movement logbooks, agendas with technical records, mock-ups, registered weapons and a vehicle used by the group.
During the operation, three men linked to the criminal organization were intercepted. According to the Civil Police, they operated in different roles in the scheme and, when approached, cooperated with the teams. They were not arrested.
The operation is part of an offensive that, over the past two weeks, identified three criminal organizations, executed 25 warrants in nine municipalities, recovered shipments valued at over R$ 1 million and resulted in the judicial freezing of R$ 15 million.
